hotel recommendations in Kefalonia?

We are off to Kefalonia / Lefkas for a honeymoon in August.... We have 2 weeks of sailing booked but intend to spend a few days beforehand relaxing before setting sail.

I am looking for any recommendations of resorts / hotels in either Lefkas or Kefalonia that might be suitable for a honeymoon.

Ideally close to a nice beach with maybe some watersports available on the beach. Nothing too loud / hectic as we want to take it fairly easy.... thinking Skala on Kefalonia at the moment?

Has anyone been to this part of the world? and if so any good / bad things for me to bear in mind?

The usual hotel websites leave me more confused than ever.

We go every year because my wife's sister lives there, We tend to stay at the San lorenzo complex, its a small, quiet place just the right side of Lassi.

The reviews for the San Lorenzo Village are always good :

Its not flash, posh or particularly large or grand but It is mostly free from idiots, screeching rugrats and other holiday fkwittery.

You could also try around Svoronata & Avithos region...not too far from the main town of Argostoli but quiet enough for quality R&R - some of the best beaches on the Island and some great little restaurants dotted along the coast. Cheers, in the end we went for the http://www.regina-hotel-kefalonia.com/ in Skala.

it was a bit of a struggle to find somewhere but I am sure it will be nice.,
