Next Feb my sister is getting married in ko samui so will be staying at the hotel there for a few days but whilst I'm out there it seems crazy not to explore the rest of Thailand.

Has anyone ever used any of these sites that offer group tours for a single traveller and have any you can recommend?

Also anything or anywhere you would say is a must visit over there?

Buy one of these and explore yourself...I mean on your own...rather than the other meaning.

I'm going to Cuba with Imaginative Traveller in May - I'll let you know what they're like, but only seen good reports (and you don't pay single supplements if happy to share a room with someone else of same sex)

I used to sell lots of Gap Adventures and Imaginative Traveller tours in Thailand and they got good reviews 99% of the time. Doing an organised trip will set you back a bit more cash, but it does save the hassle of arranging buses/trains/hotels etc. I'd personally say Thailand is easy enough to get around and enjoy on your own steam. My 60+ year old uncle recently visited and although he hasn't travelled alone outside of the EU before, he didn't have any problems with language, transport or having fun smile

No need to be in a tour group. Thailand is easy place to visit and get around. Everything is geared towards tourist. Depending on how much time you have. Just fly from ko Samui to Bangkok. Pickup a tourist map and guide at the airport, have a read to see what you fancy doing then go to a tour/travel agents which is everywhere in Bangkok and they can organise anything for you on the spot and the tours cost next to nothing.

One tip. Get a card with your hotel address so if you get lost you can just catch a taxi back which is not likely to cost you more than a couple of pounds at most.

I'll have a look at the imaginative traveller and gap, thanks for those.

I know Thailand is easy enough to travel round as the rest of the family have been a few times but I don't fancy doing it on my own, just abit more boring and also with health issues it is also not advised for me to travel on my own.
