Ryanair luggage question for those in the know
Discussion
Off to sunny Tenerife in the morning.
Our big suitcase weighs 4.5kilo, and I have bought a luggage allowance of 15kg. In an effort to reduce the case weight I have read the Ryanair baggage regs and it seems we can use 2 soft bags weighing 2kgs.
"Each passenger may check in up to two checked bags upon payment of the applicable checked baggage fees by electing to purchase a checked baggage allowance of either 15 kilos or 20 kilos when make their initial booking."
I just wanted reassurance that I had read this correctly, my 15kg can be split between 2 bags, before I get bent over and asked for my credit card at the check in desk!
Edited to add, no I don't think you can do this.

As far as I remember from last years flight you can have 2 bags, one in the hold at 15kg (or 20kg if you upgrade) and one piece of handluggage at 10kg max. I ended up carrying some of my luggage in a carrier bag rather than pay that Irish Cnt an extra penny for excess baggage (I didn't have any handluggage or should I say I didn't plan to have).
