As per the title.

I'd like to take my son mountain (hill!) biking in the Lake District later this year. Can anyone recommend any places to go, preferably something gentle to start with....for him of course wink

Many thanks.

Easy, Grizedale Forest. They have various mapped and signposted routes plus play areas and attractions for kids

Grizedale and pick one the blue route there, all fire roaded so nice and easy but good scenery.
And you can have a play on the North Face trail whilst he's getting an ice cream :-)

Whinlatter also has a relatively easy route (just along the road from Keswick).

Arguably, the easy route is more fun than the big one as it's quick, smooth and quite short (although I only did the first half as I got a puncture and had to run back up the road).
