Has anyone been on one! I have had a look at Unicorn Trails a few times but have always looked a tad pricey. Now I'm considering a riding trip there don't seem many other operators out there. Tbh the UT rides look amazing, I'd be keen to hear experiences. They operate all over the world so can imagine the quality varies. Last thing I'd want is, boring scenery, no time int saddle, slow beginners in the group, or tired ragged horses that shouldn't be subjected to long rides up and down mountains with 14st on their backs!

Currently interested in eastern European trips

Not been for a few years, but when I did I used either inthesaddle or rideworldwide - both professional outfits. One of them was doing trips to Romania back then I think?

No experience with Unicorn though. I have however just checked out their website - the people they are using in Andalucia (an area I know extremely well having ridden through there many times with a guide called Dallas Love) are one of the lesser operators in the area, and not one I would have been prepared to use I'm afraid. That doesn't inspire me with confidence for the rest of their offering.

Learn to read between the lines, and phone them up and quiz them hard about the camps they are using and how well they know them. You'll get an idea of whether they really know their stuff or whether they are just listing any old offering smile
