We were there on hols in September, and on visiting Emerald Lake I had to take a photo of the Burgess Shale...

Out of interest, when exactly were you in Emerald Lake in September?

Just checked the EXIF to make sure - 25th September. There was a wedding / wedding reception at the lodge the lunch/afternoon we were there - beautiful place, one of our favourites of the holiday - a little more 'human' a scale than most of the Rockies!

We spent a week out East with some of Becs' family, then got to Vancouver late-night on the 18th, spent a few days there (inc. a day-trip to Victoria - wish we'd had the time to overnight now!), then drove up-and-over to Jasper, had a few days there, then down to Banff and a few days there.

Indeed it's a beautiful place. Got married there on Sept 10th last year. Couple of pics, but a bit late for any sort of custard test-based proof I'm afraid!!
