Marrakech - where to stay and what to do?
Discussion
I am planning a short trip to Marrakech and I was really after all your views on places you would suggest to stay. Some of the riad's look amazing, but has anyone visited any in the past?
Is there any attractions I cannot miss and places to eat etc.
It is somewhere I have never been before, and is it worth visiting?
Thanks for the advice.

The main square in the evening is a great sight with the food stalls etc, the souks are good to see (though the pestering by some of the vendors can be tiresome after a while). We stayed at one of the new hotels just outside the centre rather than in a riad, but there are plenty available on a range of budgets.
Essaouira on the coast is well worth a visit for a day out and a trip up to the Atlas mountains gives stunning views too.

eeerm have u seen the news?!
Been to London recently? few bombs there a while ago, but bet you've never worried about that have you?Back on topic....
Marrakesh is the best place we have been to, fantastic, don't worry about the restaurant where the bomb went off, was crap when i went, had a pizza and it was salty as hell
the market in the square at night has the best and cheapest food ever!!! We went for 4 days and only spent £130 between the 2 of us eating out day and night and drinking lots of coffee in Cafe France watching the world go by (the 'world' is a very different place in Marrakesh!!)Seriously is a place id love to go back to although 4 days was a little too long and next time id go up into the Atlas mountains for a few days too.
