How many days do you wear a suit/trousers before cleaning?

Well a simple poll really, but the miss us seemed aghast when she realised I were my work suit/trousers for 4 days before washing/dry cleaners.

3 or 4 days for trousers - longer for a jacket. Of course if they are dark coloured you can get away with longer. I just hate it when the ironing crease starts to fade and they go floppy - that's when I wash them. Underpants: 3 weeks.

The answer to your actual question is one day, but I don't have them cleaned. There's no need. Just hang in the wardrobe. suits shouldn't need cleaning more than once or twice per year, unless you wear them daily.

If I wore a suit daily, I'd buy two pairs of trousers and probably get them in the wash every 3-4 days (which gives the trousers enough time to dry properly).

Indeed. I think the worst thing is earing the same clothes day after day. I usually have a choice of 10-12 suits and another 5 pairs of 'formal' trousers for days when I don't need a suit. So the gap between cleaning can probably be measured in months.

Assuming it's a wool suit, then I'll wear it for a week. This is largely because I cycle to work, so regularly rotating suits round on a daily basis isn't really an option.

Cotton trousers I'd wear for far less time, as they just don't have the magical ability of decent wool to shrug off creasing and odours.

When I used to have to wear a shirt and trousers; it was 2 shirts over 5 days and the trousers for 5 days.

I have to say, whilst I do wear trousers/suit for a few days, I always change shirt(and t-shirt) and clean pair of undies!!

As for trousers, as long as they don't get dirty, theres no point changing them.

2-3 days, normally Fridays are dress down days so it's two days normally.

Occasionally I have a dress-down Wednesday as well so I'll just wear the same set on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Although I do get a bit conscious that p'raps my clothes are getting a bit whiffy on the Thursday.

I wear my suit maybe 6 times a year and dry clean it twice.

normal clothes, t-shirts are 1 wear 1 wash, light jeans/trousers 2 days, heavy jeans 3-4 days.
