Accidentally punching yourself in the face...

Whilst adjusting your pillows or duvet. Hurts like a b
d, makes you feel like a pillock AND gets you in bother with t'wife for waking her and the cats up with the screaming (like a girl)
I'm sure the resultant black eye will impress my peers when I give the 'you. should have seen the other guy's response, so I'm claiming +1 man point.

I think I win this thread.
Approx 12-15 years ago I was playing cricket, well attempting to it was my turn to bat.
Bowler bowled I went for a six but somehow I remember the last thing I saw as I swung for the ball was the cricket bat heading for my face!
Bang! I was knocked to the floor by my own cricket bat. When I got up every single player was rofling away.
That was the last time I played cricket.

I've done it with a dead arm.
I must have been sleeping on it, and when I woke up, I was vaguely amused by the way it just wouldn't work no matter how hard you wanted it to move.
Then it suddenly started to work again.
yup, been there. arm was so "dead" it didn't turn over when i did. lifted it with the other one, got halfway over and thought the arm would know where to go.I must have been sleeping on it, and when I woke up, I was vaguely amused by the way it just wouldn't work no matter how hard you wanted it to move.

gravity knew better

was rather surprised at the force applied from a dead weight
Not a punch, but I read one a while ago on another site of a chap using a wire brush attachment in an angle grinder.
He pulled the grinder back to inspect his work and the wire brush got caught on the collar of his overalls and stopped.
Of course, the grinder didn't stop, and came round to hit him on the jaw several times before he managed to grab it and flick the switch to 'off'.

Oh, and the one that really annoys me is:
You are working under a car and bang your head on a part of it while your head is close to the ground.
Instinctively you withdraw your head quickly away only to bang it on the floor, and repeat to bang head on car for a second time within one second! Bang-bang-bang!
