Beard - do you/would you have one?
Discussion
I reckon middle aged men with beards are the most oblivious drivers on the motorway. I've been conducting a very informal survey over the last few weeks, and (women excepted), it appears to be middle aged men with full beards in small cars hogging the middle lane.
A beard on a man suggests a civil servant, geography teacher, or anyone else who's given up on life, and accepted mediocrity is the best he'll ever achieve. Or he's fugly, and thinks no-one will notice if he hides it. On a woman, clearly, a beard suggests hidden delights and mystery.
I grew a beard for a while in my very early 20's, and it was every colour under the sun, ranging from a pleasing dark blue to a disappointing pale ginger. Clearly, it had to go. 20 years on, I've not been tempted. I'll have a go at Movember this year, to see what happens, but I doubt I'm a facial hair kind of guy.
What do you reckon? Full beards, mind. None of you well built goatee wearers need to get involved. Leave it, I'm not worth it. Etc, etc.

What the bugger are you on about? I have since my teens always had some kind of facial hair going on, ranging from a goatee (generic PH powerfully built quotation number 37) to a full on beard and I'm 24. From what I am told I am not fugly and I am not a s
t driver, or a Geography teacher. I have got a beard because I'm a bloke. Perhaps you have been watching too much Clarkson on tv, and his dull stereotyping is rubbing off on you?

Hah! 24. Does your mummy tell you you're not fugly? Shave, and let the world be your judge.
I didn't say I was a male model. I have a beard because I want a beard and I do perfectly fine with it thank you very much. At 24 I'm not a kid. At 40 something you appear to be quite naive.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
