How many cigarettes can i bring back from Spain for personal use?

I cannot find a 100% answer off google!

I don't think there is a specific limit on fags brought in from another EU country, but you have to satisfy the people at customs that they are for your personal use. Theoretically you could bring in a van-full, but HMRC would likely accuse you of planning to sell them on and take them off you. IIRC the most you can possibly get away with is 10,000 tabs but whether or not they take them off you is down to the discretion of the stormtroopers at the border, so you need to be careful and/or persuasive.

was out in menorca a few weeks ago was 49 euros at the airportand 45 euros in a tabac. it's also recomended that you only bring 3200 until 1st october when the recomendation goes down to 800

As many as you like for personal use.

If you get stopped with loads it is for the customs to decide whether they believe you or not. By loads I mean thousands. If they don't believe you then you will have to go to your local magistrates court to reclaim the cigs. The burden will be on you to a civil standard. Unless you are a supreme piss taker the Mags will let you keep your tabs and award you costs.

Just remember that when you read about Spain it is talking about the mainland. The islands are not part of the EU just like Jersey and the IoM and therefore you can't bring back what you like the numbers are small.
