Nazi lightbulbs
Discussion
Today I was browsing Mill Antiques in Oldham and anyone who knows it will know they have a Nazi shop in there.
It was closed at the time but in the window they had a Nazi Lightbulb, it was a small light bulb with a filament shaped like a swastika. I really dont know why but I cant stop thinking about it. I'm very tempted to go back tomorrow and buy it, if the price is reich
Its certainly the oddest thing ive ever come across while browsing.
I cant find much information on google but according to this it could be a novelty bulb handed out at xmas time.

Also going off that guys location and the condition of the item in the picture, I wonder if its the actual bulb thats in the shop

I'd like to see photos of it. Buy it.
I have no desire to glorify this era, but I'd love to know how/why they thought it was a good idea
To go this far...
No different to TV advertising now. Back then, how else would you get your message into every home in the land? Same concept, different era.I have no desire to glorify this era, but I'd love to know how/why they thought it was a good idea

On a related note.
They've only just shown the episode of Star Trek - Patterns of Force, where Kurk and Spock dress up as "Nazi" officers, in Germany on terrestrial TV. You have to be over 18 and it was shown after 10pm!
If that shopkeeper was based in Germany he'd be arrested for selling Nazi stuff as its ilegal to display the Swastika on anything. Loads of Germans come over to the UK to reanact war scenes so they can wear their Nazi uniforms they secretly tuck away!

ETA. So I've heard. I'm no Trekkie.
