With the PR for London 2012 in full swing, i can't shake the thought that the events will manage the difficult task of costing a very great deal of money yet looking like a glorified school sports day.
All you hear is that it is going to be multicultural this, inclusive that. Whereas in reality it is going to be more embarrassing than your dad dancing to Dizzee Rascal
Not forgetting that the transport links are going to be an absolute disaster and there is going to be very little legacy to show for the billions invested
I'm cringing in anticipation of the very worst that 'modern britain' has to offer

its going to be awesome, the city of London will get swept up in the atmosphere, the rest of the country will be cheering on their heroes, it will all go without a hitch, there will be buses and trains and all that sort of stuff, people will go mental and buy loads of stuff, everyone will smile, the sun will shine every day. we will win medals all over the place, every day, Mo Farah, Dai Greene, Jess Ennis, Philips Odowu, Jason Kenny, Vicky Pendleton, Shazne Reade, Ben Ainslie, Tiffany Ofili-Porter, Alistair Brownlee, Mark Cavendish, in Boxing, Judo, Horsey stuff, shooting, badminton, rowing, hockey.... relax people, its going to be great....

Its going to be an epic failure.
The world will laugh at our goverments complete disregard for common sense.
They'll be delays before every event while the competitors fill in risk assesment forms,
Nothing will be finished, the stuff that is will fall down, having been built by low payed east europeans who hate us.
Its going to be a cringe fest from start to finish and will bankrupt our once great nation.
For the entire games I may wear a hat with corks hanging from it, drink Fosters and say 'G'day' alot, whilst having nothing to do with this country whatso ever.
ETA Just seen G4S are doing the security.. god help us.
Unless it goes well. Inwich case I'll be at the front waving the Union Jack.

[tin foil hat] Looking at the site picture of the new stadium, during the construction phase it looks pretty badly protected, could a terrorist with the correct security pass (snigger - CSCS card) not plant a bomb in the site somewhere amongst the foundations with a long term timer so it goes off at the opening ceremony and brings the whole blooming thing down? [/tin foil hat]
