The stereotypical Pher
Discussion
is male,
is mid 30s to mid 40s,
is a company director (of an IT company),
is powerfully built,
has a goatee,
has an MX-5
also has a BMW 335d (remapped)
has a spare can of red bull in the glovebox
has an ex-wife with 'the mental'
has a girlfriend who doesn't have 'the mental' ...yet
Any more we should add?
and more importantly, does any PHer actually match the stereotype exactly?
dammit; mods, please move this to the lounge?

According to the "Classic from the Mrs" thread, they're all PHD educated brain surgeons that model lingerie in their spare time and are currently writing a thesis on perpetual motion, just for fun.Oh, and and can't tell their left from their right or tie their own shoe laces...

I think you also forgot "blames everything on Labour"Late 20s.
Owns something reasonably sensible.
Owns other things that are really not sensible.
Puts cars above relationships.
Spends money on cars rather than financially sensible things like houses.
Works in a reasonably paid job but would rather earn more/work less.
Sounds rather depressing!

is male - Yes
is mid 30s to mid 40s - Yes
is a company director (of an IT company) - IT Manager, not a Director yet
is powerfully built - Yes
has a goatee - Sometimes
has an MX-5 - Had 2
also has a BMW 335d (remapped) - No
has a spare can of red bull in the glovebox - Urgh
has an ex-wife with 'the mental' - Never married
has a girlfriend who doesn't have 'the mental' ...yet - No but had a few in the past
Any more we should add? - Piles of old car mags, haynes manuals, tickets to motoring events and parts for cars no longer owned.
and more importantly, does any PHer actually match the stereotype exactly? - Almost

The only thing that stops me posting the Jean-Luc face-palm is that this thread has enough tired PH cliches in it already.
Add to that, "The typical PHer" was done ages ago in a long running thread that still gets dragged out annually and mercifully doesnt contain the words mapped, red bull, powerfully built, MX5 etc etc
I hate myself for even adding something that may unfortnately contribute to the thread's longevity.
