Having never jumped away from a hole in the ground with a live grenade in, I can't say I know the best technique to use but I just thought a flatter dive to the floor would have been a more efficient way to get out of the way of the explosion than "supermanning" up into the air.

It was part of a demo for chinese officers, government officials and such like. IIRC they never claimed it was a hand grenade and the video i saw was around 6 minutes long.
