Apparently they might be making a rare appearance in the North West of England tonight. Anyone spotted them yet? Might drive out from Southport if they have been "turned on"...

Cheaper than going to Finland...

Gggggrrr. I went to Iceland to see the Northern Lights and to go whale watching. No sign of the lights, and six hours on a boat in choppy seas and not so much as a herring!

The geysers were fantastic though. And the gulfloss falls, and the blue lagoon.

I have always wanted to see the Northern Lights. To imagine seeing them is awe inspiring. I will one day.

I'm in Southport too. I'm lying on my back and there is no sign of the northern lights. I'll go outside and see if that helps.

Where abouts are you? The sky is pretty clear in hillside where I am but might pop down to the beach at birkdale to see if there is anything

Just got back from whale watching this afternoon. About a mile off the coast of Reykjavik we came across a herd of Humpbacks. Here are some crappy phone pics I shot.
