Had the beemer finish on ebay this weekend

after getting rid of this bellend

i was unfortunately cursed with yet more ebay muppetry towards the end of the listing.

was set to finish at 11pm on Saturday -

At about 7pm - with 4 hours remaining - the high bidder mails "Hi Is it possible to withdraw my bid. I was buying the car on behalf of my sister in law but her partner has suprised her with a new car, Lucky for some! Sorry for the inconvience"
rolleyes

I mail back: "sounds like bks...." - but cancel his bid anyway

then about 20 minutes before the listing ends the (different) high bidder mails:

"Hi please cancel my bidding my family were using my account and put in wrong amount"

He is now the winner - and obviously wont pay...

So i send the second place bidder an email - no response (yet)

So - what is it with last minute cancelled bids? keep the price up and then try to drop it last minute to bid from another account?

I'm genuinely baffled as to why someone would bother - has fked me off no end through, as the insurance is up at the end of this month and it looks like i'm going to trade it in or WBAC it...

Ebay - never again!

Some of them bid on multiple auctions for the same item then cancel all but one winning bid.
