Discussing comments on Pistonheads with non-pistonheaders

Hi All,

Got thinking tonight, on so many occasions to mention a funny comment someone has said on here to someone that doesn't use pistonheads...does anyone else do it or just me?

I said to my girlfriend the other day about the 'R1SCUE' plate on one of the number plate threads where someone had commented that a south african drove it or something to that affect..she looked at me with a blank look on her face but I was in hysterics.

I do genuinely find pistonheads humorous, some of the comments people make are A*

Makes me laugh and gets me through a tough/stressful day

The other half tells me everything that's happening on Facebook, so much so I never need to visit it. As revenge I subject her to many stories that I read on here.

I try to talk about PH stuff at work.

But i work with some of the least car interested people in existence.

So i gave up.

My driver colleagues own,C Max,Fusion,New Corsa,old Vectra,Picasso......nuff said

My point was, talking about little in-jokes from the internet in public is a bit embarrasing.

My mum knows about PH and some of the stupid stuff that's come up on here, and has some interest in cars so I talk to her about any particuluarly good content!

Better yet, my girlfriend knows about it too and while far less interested in cars, finds some of the stuff hilarious

and on here too, that joke passed long along but people come on here using it all the time, and it never get less cringeworthy..
