Seriously overrated Ray Davies wannabe, never understood the hype
Nothing in a back catalogue of work going back 35 years that you might find worth listening to? Maybe not your cup of tea, but wannabe? The 90's was full of wannabes influenced by Davies and Weller.
Have a root through here, you might change your mind...

At least Weller can actualy play instruments and write songs, albeit crap songs in the past few years, in 30 years time I don`t I`ll look back and remember say Will Young for anything other than being bent maybe.
But PWs hair, yes it`s terrible. Get a grip Paul.
Once a Mod always a Mod.

Well most people like the Modfather and some of his music.
It's clear that you don't MH. Do you like Morrisey by any chance?
I do like bits of Morrisey/Smiths, I just see nothing original in his work at all. And on another point, 'Modfather' I thought this title would be better suited to Pete Towshend, at least he was active in the Mod era, not just plundering music history and claiming it for himself. I have seen the Jam and Style council back in the dayIt's clear that you don't MH. Do you like Morrisey by any chance?
As a foot note I dislike Madness as well, another band people seem to think is the second coming

One presumes "Active" means chucking his kit around rather than playing it ? As a foot note I dislike Madness as well, another band people seem to think is the second coming
Like it or not Weller inspired a generation by doing what he wanted to do, regardless of if it was popular or not. Now in his mid 50s he's still out there doing what he wants to do, because he likes doing it. I think he's one of the best songwriters this country ever produced.
If you look in the sleeve of "Heavy Soul" Paul left you a message

In that case your musical opinion is invalid.Markh said:

Yep, you have confirmed it.
Anyway, what's the first sign of Madness? It's Suggs walking up your driveway.
Do you like late Oasis songs/Beady Eye btw?
