ideas for stagg do please

Guys,

I have the job of arranging my mates Stag end of June...

Small group of lads in 30s (3 to 4 people) - so Stag companies not interested, min 6 to 8 people needed.
Budget of about £150 to £200 per head
Two days, with overnight stay
Newcastle is local to us but anywhere in North East is doable
Groom needs to be in one piece with no visible defects, or significantly reduced life expectancy after event :-)

Any ideas of good places for night life and stag style events?

So far we are looking Blackpool but open to other ideas, lets hear 'em

Edinburgh - best stag I've ever been on.

Stay & drink in the Grassmarket area. Easy access to other parts of town & access to the 'pubic triangle'.

You'll have plenty of other (less b00b-oriented) activites nearby too.

Blackpool is awful, really gone downhill in the last decade or so. Avoid. Ive just been on a good stag do in Hamburg.

Blackpool is a sthole
Newcastle and Sheffield are both good nights same goes for Nottingham
Lincoln where I go to university is a great night as well personally prefer it to sheffield and nottingham but for me would opt for Newcastle for a stag do I think

Like many, I was planning on going away for the weekend for my stag do in June. I've decided to stay in Nottingham with karting and clay pigeon shooting in the day then food and beer. I'm purposefully avoiding Nottingham city centre and staying in the town in which I live. There is 12 of us yet my best man has arranged it all directly without one of these stag organising outfits.

Cheaper and just as good a laugh I hope.
