Just wondering if anyone has been?

Got tickets for tomorrow afternoon and not sure what to expect. Also wanted to see what the parking a food is like.

My dad's company built it so ive been as part of the friends and family preview weekend when the staff were practicing prior to the celebrity opening.

Basically its a museum where you walk around various Harry Potter sets/props rather than a tour or being interactive as they make it out to be. Its been designed as a permanent feature so in the future when Harry Potter dies down they will merely swapout the sets/props with whatever other film is popular at the time.

To really get the most out of it you need to be into the films but we still managed to be occupied for 2 hours.

I went a month ago (term time week day) and took my gf as a surprise.

It's well laid out and you get to spend as much time doing it (bar the first part) as you like. I thought it was rather good, all be it pricy, with most things seen in the films there, and some things you don't remember...

There is no food of note but there is a Starbucks, would reccomend getting something before/after though...the butter beer is too sweet for my tastes but my gf loved it!

It took us about 2.5 hours to do and would reccomend it as a day out, although I would get no benefit from going again.

We went in April and loved every minute of it, the shop was completely over-priced but I didn't think the Cafe was to bad. We spent 4 1/2 hours there, the audio tour was definately needed for all HP geeks!

My missus went yeaterday with a couple of her friends. She loved it. She's well into the films and the books. Think she was in there for about 3 1/2 hours. She got loads of pics, and said Hogwarts is breathtaking.

I'm not really into HP at all, so I didn't go, but i'm pretty sure she'd recommend it to anyone who is...

Thanks for the replies, apologies for not posting back sooner but got caught up with the weekends festivities.

We did the tour on Saturday and were really impressed. Ended up spending about 7 hours there and far too much money in the shops. Loads to see and plenty of nice surprises along the way (which I won't spoil). We ended up taking our 3 year old, which I was a bit dubious about, but he loved it, especially the creature room.

The staff were really helpful and able to answer any questions that were thrown at them, much to my eldests annoyance as he was desperate to catch them out. Food and drink was reasonably priced, apart from the butter beer which was a bit steep but tasted great (reminded me of cream soda with ice cream floats).
