All be it not a massive amount of money, £1000. It was owed to me and I'd pretty much written it off. However I'm getting it back today so as i'd written it off, should I gamble it on lucky dips for tonight? What are the odds of me winning 'something'

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Lotteries are nothing more then idiot tax, with a small sprinkle of hope added in. Even if this euromilion thing payed out every single cent they take in, your 1000 quid gets you a 1/1000th chance of winning a milion. In reality your odds will be much much worse.

Conventional PH wisdom, buy a cheap mx5/puma/bangernomics 3-series and enjoy your 1000 quid rather then pissing it down the drain.

Euromillions would be such a waste. Chances are you'd come out of it with about £200. Why not invest in shares or at least gamble it on the Euro football championships - much more interesting.

Maybe put £2.00 on one ticket, but spend the rest wisely.

I wouldn't (and i do gamble). Maybe buy £100's worth?

I would then fill the car with fuel, go down the city (where ever your closest is) get yourself a hotel, go for a nice meal and blow the rest in the casino whilst supping on JD.

Yup, you've gotta be in it to win it, i just do the minimum lucky dip thing for that reason...

Would maybe a Do a few lines on the euro millions... But really, just look at their website, the odds are absolutely tiny. The odds of matching 5 numbers plus the 2 lucky Star numbers is 1:116,531,800

If you really aren't fussed about it I would stick it in a betting account and bet on the euros or cheltenham something like that

Or treat the Mrs and kids?

Spend a tenner on tickets, a night out with the good woman and use the rest for a trip with the mates to the Ring or such like. Possible win, win, and win. smile

Surely a night in the casino would be much more fun? You've probably got better odds of coming away with more than you went in with when compared to Euromillions too!

Keep it...You may need it for a rainy day in the future when you will be glad you had it.

You have more chance of being murdered in the UK that winning the lottery with a £1 ticket.....FACT

less than that still, done the £1000 before... don;t think we even saw a 100 back.
wisely "reinvested" that into more euromillions.

Tax-free ISA perhaps or is that showing too much age?
