ok so I have a few high value items I sold on ebay

got a £650 or 10 item a month allowance

I listed an item for £300 and it has been bid above that, meaning it is over my selling limit

just curious to know what happens now as I expect the item to sell for between £2500-3000

will it get taken out of next month or will it be held back

You'll get your £650 and ebay will keep the rest.

They will keep the mo ey in escrow until the buyer leaves positive feedback, then they will release the funds to you.

Fairly sure you just get paid but blocked from selling any more until next month. It's what happened to me when I went over my allowance.

Where does it say what your allowance is?

Pretty sure I don't have a limit - but I have been on Ebay for over 10 years!

It's for new sellers only, won't apply to you.

To prevent idiots listing too much stuff they can't keep up with, then letting down customers.
