Had a call come up on my phone today showing International.

(Cue comedy Indian accent) "Hello Sir. My name is Peter. I am calling you from The Internet. There is being a problemings with your computings. Windows has detected that certain programmings are not working etc"

After much back and forth between us with me getting him to spell his name, what his surname was (took him a little while to come up with something not quite English), how to spell that, which programs don't work, best one being the subject of Parental Control, I managed to keep him going for 25 whole minutes till I told him that finally I didn't understand how my computer had reported Windows errors because I have an Apple Mac biggrin

He then went off on one which cheered me up as it meant that I could go into Samuel L Jackson mode (English Muthafka, do you speak it?) for another 5 minutes before he hung up.

Yes, childish, churlish, not very grown up and Cool Story Bro but it cheered me up this afternoon.

I did the same last week, scammer baiting you gotta love it. I followed his instructions and kept complaining about the screen being black, and was it a symptom of the virus....then said oh hang on do I have to turn the computer on?

Are you sure it wasn't someone trying to sell you an Audi?

That's hopefully one less old granny to get scammed today. Good work.

I wish they'd call me, all I'm getting recently are those fking automated PPI calls where you don't get a chance to tell them to do one. I haven't had a good shouting match over the phone for ages.

Fine work biggrin

The more of their time that is wasted the better.

I did the same but made use of Terry Tibbs soundboard! http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I had a series of similar at one place at work. Was entertainign being subtly rude to them before hanging up.

Unfortunately the last one was an important customer. Oops.

Ha. Nice one. Scumbags got my dad! Fortunately, I get my tightfistedness from him so they couldn't get his credit card details no matter how hard he tried. He did download some sharing software, though.

My Wife passes the phone to my 3 year old daughter.

It's amazing how quickly they fk off once she's informed them that she's a pony and they should go back to their stable for some hay and straw pizza.
