Slighly un motoring related topic but I appreciate the spectrum of contributors on PH and would just like some varied feedback. Boy meets girl...boy thinks girl is famtastic....girl and boy get engaged......girl and boy spend 3 happy years together...... girl then turns into crazy green-eyed girl who is going for gold in arguing despite the olympics being over and boy doing nothing different. Boy spends six months of the year on oil-rigs.

Boy is confused. Thought he had found lovely cool girl to get married to. Girl gone mad. Just me?

Personally in answer to the thread question .. Yes..

The trick is finding the one whose madness you can live with ;-)

You've been engaged for three years - and you're doing nothing different - how old are you both is her clock ticking? have you set a date, bought a house - forgotten an anniversary? etc etc???

Or alternatively the sun came up yesterday morning...

Simes.

Type "Borderline Personality Disorder" into Google.

Whatever you do, do NOT have a kid with her. Oh, and get out - it will not get better if you get married or have a kid or buy a house, no matter what she says.

Well done in spotting this - think of it as a lucky escape. There are some good women out there, but lots of bonkers ones.

Jealousy normally a result of guilt. What's she been up to? Also completely agree with the above posts.

If you've been on PH for 25 months and are still yet to find "The Lounge", perhaps it was your sexual technique that made her mad?

Kick her in the sponge then run away. Far far away.

I must say, that is a highly amusing and original turn of phrase.

Time to employ the freeze out technique...withdraw from engagement and measure reaction.

You're on form this evening. Bad day at the office?

Why on Earth do you think that I must have had a bad day "at the office" because I pointed out your boringly predictable, unfunny post?

I had, as it happens, a fairly mediocre day "at the office". Turned out to be slightly longer than it should have been, but nobody died.

I apologise for my mediocrity. I will try and do better next time.

I 'm glad that your day didn't involve any fatalities.

Good night.

What age is this girl? Ive got a theory about girls, security, insecurity & the change they go through at certain ages! We'll not venture into that now tho!

Something similar happened to me, I spent 5yrs with 'the 1' & got engaged after 3yrs together with full intent to spend the rest of our lives together. I had been doing an apprenticeship to work on the rigs pretty much all of the relationship, in order to give us a better standard of life, so she knew the score. Then I started working offshore & she quickly turned into a total rocket, in no time she became an argumentative cow with irrational demands! Split up was the best thing that ever happened to us looking back!! My only sorrow is for the poor mug that's landed with her now!

I'm with someone else now, got a daughter & no desire to get married or anything, as were perfect as we are. Actually i've got a Porsche fund instead of a wedding fund!! biggrin

So in short she's probably doing the dirty behind your back. Bin that wench!!!

I thought I'd found a very cool, down to earth, easy going girl.

Known her a few years, as casual friends, but just kind of getting it together over the last few month.

Then - bang! The insane kicks in.

I'm not naive or inexperienced, but this took me by total surprise! Bullet. Dodged.

Yes they are.

PS: she's been playing away while you were off making oil, and now wants you to sling her hook because you're interrupting her fun.

Hmm, I think there are varying degrees of madness. The question is how far up the scale.
