Is there something wrong with me?

I've got to 25 without throwing a punch and today when it all kicked off at football and 20 players and some folk watching all steamed in swinging for their lives, I was stood on halfway watching with the only one of their lads to not get involved. Not one part of me felt like I should be sprinting to get involved, yet for all those other lads their first instinct was to pile in. Then afterwards everyone was going on about how great it was and how they'd done 'this and that' to their players and I just sat there

Am I missing the nutcase gene? I do wonder how I'd get on if cornered, I guess adrenalin would take over

Half the reason I cannot stand football recently.

I enjoy watching it on the TV to see how my team are getting on, but some people treat it as if it's the most important thing in the bloody world.

It's just a bunch of girls running around crying if they get pinched.
God knows what would happen if they broke a nail.

Good for you for not joining in!thumbup

There'll soon be someone along who'll post a link or tell a story of some bloke (Family man, respectable job, never hurt a fly, etc) who punched a man and he died.

I investigated an incident once, a Fijian squaddie punched his mate. And he died.

A gentle giant, a real family man, just unlucky.

INB4 that guy who thinks he's got a "threatening aura".

OP, get some new friends. The police come down hard on people football thugs, you don't want to get rounded up for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Its like a little time travelling wormhole where if you click on the link at the bottom of the lounge you end up at one at the top.

Good on you for not getting involved op. Find a less aggressive sport, like bowls or somethingbiggrin

You went to a football match. The damage is already done. You may as well start brawling, because you're already lost to the civilised world.

I've got to 32 without throwing a punch...

The need has simply never arisen!

So no, I don't think there is anything wrong with you smile

The other way round for me, my sons best mate at school, his dad has been out for a drink with his wife, some local youths started making lewd comments to his wife, he told them to fk off (as you would) the lad hit him once and ron died frown

The lad only got something ridiculous like 2yrs for manslaughter, rons wife got to bring up 3 small kids on her own.
