I've never sold on eBay before, but decided to give it a shot. I sold an MOT failure on Saturday night, emailed the successful bidder on Sunday morning and again yesterday with no response.

I've looked at his feedback, which is all positive, except for what is said. What do people like arctic1234richard get out of doing this? It seems a pointless waste of time.

Given that I now have his address, which is fairly close to where I live, should I strip the car and dump the shell in his garden?

No. Cash on collection. Had I the money, I wouldn't be complaining.

Stripping it and dumping it seems like a lot of hassle especially as if you'd stripped it you could just weigh it in. How about delivering something else? Like dogst. hehe

Yeah, but would he know it was dogst from me? On reflection stripping it would be a lot of trouble to go to. And I'd sell the front bumper and bootlid, so there would be nowhere to put the numberplates.

Having read his feedback I think you need to put it down to experience.

It does highlight one of ebays biggest failings, the buyers who have little intention of buying items and feel they are in the driving seat. (they generally are)

Ebay should ban buyers line that, but the then open a new account.

As suggested get it weighed in

Something's wrong with the Ebay system when a buer with feedback like that has 100% feedback.

Just had this happen to me with the sale of my car.

2000 page views and 70 recorded watchers; so things shaping up nicely for a good sale. The auction ended with a winning bid from Germany. He then kept me on a string for a while before dropping off the radar.

I opened a dispute case (to get my 'final value' fee refunded) but there was no facility to leave negative feedback. In the end I left positive feedback but wrote (in capital letters) what had actually happened.

I then discovered that at that same time I was selling my car, he was selling (on eBay) an almost identical vehicle!

He took out the competition.

Yeah, that. But buyer. I knew what you meant. How can 100% feedback correspond to what actually has happened?

Use second chance offer. Lets you offer it to the next bidder inline at their highest bid. You can keep going down the bidders until you get a sale if you really want.

Can you not set him up as a favorate seller and get an e-mail when he next lists something. Repay him as he did to you.

Yes really frustrating when that happens, I had a similar situation with a woman who did not pay and when I emailed to reminder her she gave me negative feedback saying I had a bad attitude wtf !

Also when bidding I keep getting pipped at the post how does that work ?

Sniping software. You key in your max price, and the time it will remotely bid at. Normally this is a matter of seconds before the auction ends.
