Dear Arriva, fk YOU!

An hour and a fking half I just had to wait for a fking bus. Seven fking buses drove past because they were full of shouting little fktard school kids while I was standing there like a prat in the fking cold waiting. Surely if it's that busy, you would run more buses, not let your customer fking freeze to death in the cold. Even worse, they charge you £3.20 to go about three miles. Daylight fking robbery! I had to give up and take the fking day off college because you're unable to do your job.

Disgusting, grim, horrible, smelly pieces of st when you actually get a bus, normally got rubbish thrown everywhere. It's like sitting in a fking bin.

Next time my bike breaks down, I'm getting the fking train. bds.

I'm not sure what I did in a previous existence to get Arriva as a bus provider in our village. The timetable is a work of fiction of soaring imagination, the buses are dirty falling apart and ancient and are driven by phsycopthic monoglots whose native tongue is not of this land. They ignore complaints and their fare structure is even more mind boggling than the sketchy correlation between timetable and performance.
The corporate colours are boring as well. I'm paying for it whether I use it or not as well as national and local govt subsidise it. This provides a fig leaf for taxing the private motorist into oblivion. They can say from the comfort of their taxpayer provided limousine, oh but we have provided public transport.
So I suppose thats +1 then.
ps thanks for reminding me about yesterday Arriva failings, I just e mailed off a complaint, waste of bandwidth though I'm afraid.

Years ago we (a group of 8-10 of us) got the bus back after being out for a Chinese, it was the last service and only we were on the bus and the drivers name was Palo. He let us drink and some people smoke on the bus (after lighting up himself), had the doors open as it was hot and people were dangling their legs out of the door.

A few of us needed the toilet desperately, so he stopped on a street, we jumped off, found a secluded place and relieved ourselves. Much to the amusement of the ladies with us, he started driving off, queue 4 blokes mid-piss running down a road trying to get onto a bus, he slowed down and we all had to jump on to the moving bus.

Best bus ride ever. Never did see him drive a bus again.

Going by the '95' in your name, the fact that you recently list having a 50cc Scooter and were catching a bus, I'm going to assume the reason that they did not stop was because they did not want to add yet "another shouting little fktard school kid" to their bus.

....to go about three miles...
3 miles in 90 minutes is precisely 2mph.
The average human walks at just over 3mph. You'd have got there half an hour quicker by walking.

Reminds me of my favourite bus journey ever, going in to Norwich city centre a few years ago. Most people had gotten off the bus at the first city centre stop, leaving just me and my 3 mates on the bus. Driver asks us where we are going- to a popular nightclub- so he drove right up there and dropped us off at the door. The look on the faces of the bouncers was priceless- they waved us straight in avoiding the queue. But that is the only wonderful example I have of a pleasant bus journey in the UK- generally speaking, it is a God-awful experience.

Fair enough if you can't walk it but the bad back thing shouldn't hold you back if you've got something with wheels.

Designs vary but something like this- http://www.amazon.co.uk/warranty-Lightweight-wheel...

I think they are Arriva near us, my eldest was late for work quite frequently as they would either just not show or got there earlier than the timetable time and instead of waiting just drive off, I did say to her that perhaps if she got there a few minutes earlier it may not be a problem, however it still doesn't make it right.

I hate bus drivers, round here they are just so rude, no wave of thanks when giving way, even if it's my right of way, it really gets on my wick, they are so expensive too for what you get, luckily I only use the Park & Ride, not normal buses.

I've always found it odd that the Park & Ride service is better, the buses are nicer, newer and cleaner, the drivers are more friendly and it's cheaper than a normal bus yet the sort of people on Park & Rides are generally of a better "class" for want of a better expression.
