Boots - Looking for a specific style...

Except I don't know what the heck you'd call it other than a pair of lace up boots, of which there are about 50,000 different choices.

Is pretty much what I want, but not at that price. They don't seem a million miles away from DM's but not quite.

Any links/suggestions would be great, even better still if we can avoid it degenerating into photoshops of that fellow with the long hair and bad taste in clothes.

If you want a pair of made to measure British-made boots, don't want to spend a fortune, and can stomach the idea of having them hand made by hippies in Devon, then you might want to take a look at the Conkers Derby Boot. They aren't ever going to win any trendy style awards, but they are incredibly comfortable, last for years, and are fully rebuildable. They'll do them in more or less any leather and a choice of soles.

I've had a pair of these for about 3 years. Very comfortable but be aware that the soles wear much quicker than other timberlands.

Never heard the term before, but it seems as "Earthkeepers" is a brand name spinoff rather than style of boot. On the Timberland site they list Earthkeepers Chukka and Chelsea boots. What would be the name of the style of boot the OP was after?.

I know the OP is sorted as far as what he was looking for, I was just curious about the name Earthkeepers.

I think it's something to do with them being partially made with recycled materials. On reflection I'm starting to believe the soles on mine are made from recycled cotton wool and Mars bars

I am not exactly fashion conscious, but I have had Timberlands for nearly 20 years and this is the first I can recall hearing about the "Earthkeepers" sub-brand. From what you are saying it may be better to stick with regular Timberlands.
