Anyone speak Italian ?

Good username "arse" lol
Lack of oxygen is unlikely, as the machine is a plastics extruder, a very very very complicated one, with lots of different systems on it, all controlled by an industrial PC.
The company that made it were Italian, and are sadly no longer in business, although the machine itself is very modern, less than 5 years old.
It is more likely to be some kind of hardware/firmware fault within the industrial PC, its make I'm unsure of until I get there tomorrow, as all machine faults display in English.

Chances are that the Alarm codes in "english" are for the machine operators..The fault code 24 will be totally seperate and probably an integral part of the PC side.
Code 24 on a standard pc can be something to do with the hardware side..
"This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24)"
Most industrial PC's of the modern era are usually Windows based..
Just some thoughts on a Saturday night..

I know it isn't an Italian word, I'm thinking it is more of an Italian abbreviation, possibly a technical one, all languages are bad for those.
I think it may be something related to the gadget more that only a tech may know, desat means ten (the number) in slovakian btw.I've been out to the machine.
I still don't know what Desat means, I'll be asking "Parker" tomorrow.
The drive in question is a Parker AC 870 servo drive ..... a fooking big thing, almost as big as me.
Desat appears on the drive (once you've allowed it too), as well as on the IPC screen, but on the drive, in english, it also says Over Current.
The positive side of the dc bus link is only 1500 ohms from the V phase of the motor, whilst the U and W phases are mega ohms away, so I think an output device is unwell, and we are suffering an instantaneous trip.
Thankyou for all the help, including arse's giggle.
I'll post whatever Parker says Desat means, once I've spoken to them.

The voltage will be the voltage, but, it does generate current, so I'm guessing at the moment, that the electronics is sensing a current rush (which electronics is quick enough to do these days, go back 20 years, and this sort of problem, at these sort of powers, would blow holes in the electrical cabinets), and giving me an instantaneous trip.
From my checks today, it would appear that the bus may well be leaking to phase V of the servo motor.
Desat is a term that is associated with IGBT firing chips, amongst many other things, mostly to do with blood oxygen levels.
You don't want to go around being rough with these things, and you don't want to present it with the trip condition too often either, because, at these power levels, if it doesn't catch it and you're too close to the cabinet, if you're really really lucky, somebody may be able to take you to casualty.
We're playing with three phase voltages, and hundreds and hundreds of amps available per phase, these kind of factories have their own sub stations.
This is just one drive out of three on the same machine, in a factory with perhaps 15 to 20 of these type of machines, as well as lots of other machinery.
Interesting stuff, but you have to be oh so careful.
