..Who makes the Julia Davis comedy character from Nighty Night seem tame?

It has been well over a year since I ceased all contact with my big sis.. er, close relative. She has been a lazy, good for absolutely nothing state hand-out loving attention seeker for most of her adult life. She even married a man older than my father just for the money. This I didn't mind, it's her life and perhaps, I thought, she did really love him. In that 27 years since, she has bled him dry, ran up multiple debts, each time they have ran away from - she had an affair, and a child, and her husband still had her back.

When they come to visit us, she couldn't handle the fact that I work hard and we have what we want - we just had a new kitchen and double glazing installed one time, and all she could say is that "ha, you have to pay for yours, the council does all mine for free". She has always boasted about the benefits she receives - and she's now almost 50 years old!

The final straw was when I found out that she told my parents that our uncle Bill, who was the nicest man you could have possibly come across, 'fondled' her. I questioned her about this, and she admitted she made it up. Our uncle has been dead 20 years, and I found this quite unforgivable - this is when I broke all contact with her.

Today, my little sister rang me (she's a lot more 'normal') to tell me about what our 'close relative' had been up to now. Her husband has apparently been diagnosed with emphysema, and is not in a good way - so his wife rang my parents with excitement to tell them that she'll receive an extra £70 per week because of her husband's misfortune! My parents were stunned, so told my little sister that they couldn't believe what they had just heard!

What a total evil bh. Anyone got worse than this societal leech?

Unless we have posters with the surnames Venables or Hamza, I think you've got this tied up.

I don't think sofrown I have a BiL who hasn't worked for 28 years, is 52 and avoided at all costs. Latest is bragging about paying his mortgage off, all thanks to you and me, and his "special needs" kids. True.

My one brother first wife is just like that and has had an untold amount of mugs to bleed dry since they split 15 years ago. My other brothers second wife appears to be just like this only a lot riffyer.

Did you marry into the guttersnipes, or did your sister make a bad choice?

The former. By choice. As you know, I was adopted. I won't judge anyone by who their family or background happens to be. I was 25 Mrs CH was 20 and straight off the 'plane from SA where her Brummie family, well her parents and the three younger ones, had lived for 10 years. She was and is, pure class in thought and deed.

The two eldest had been left behind in Birmongham in their early twenties, one lad one girl, both pure guttersnipes. The other two who were in SA with Mrs CH are ok.

They are all back in Brum, which is alright, but best avoided. This is why when we wed, we had only our parents present.

Class, I feel is how you act, no? We've been together over 22 yearssmile

I did think long and hard before posting, as it is family after all. But so annoyed am I at her blatant mercenary attitude to life, feelings and money, I decided that more should know, sod it.

My understanding is that hamza is also great at errr... "motivating" people.

Terry Venables says "I want you to go out there and give 110%"

Hamza says "I want you to go out there and blow yourselves up"

I have a similar female relative who I have heard say "I wish I could fall and break my neck. Then id get more money" As well as "I hope he has a disability not a bad one but one that I can claim for" this was whilst talking about her unborn child. She had her fiance arrested for domestic abuse because he held her arms after she woke him up by kicking and slapping him at 10pm and then when his mate came round to get his stuff she started screaming loudly that he was being violent and to stop hurting her. Luckily I have little to no contact with her.

Rumour has it that my grandmother's sister's husband done some time for being a little bit rapey.

I don't think there's any truth in it though. That's about the best I have.

I had to don my forensic suit, protective space helmet and cotton gloves to even post on this thread, I feel unclean just reading it. No chavs in my family. And no loons either, except me. So I sympathise - you cant be proud of your sister, and have also (understandably) given up on her = -2 family points.

+5 points for being a hard worker = you win. Be grateful you aren't married to someone like her.

My aunt died of influenza - so they said, but it's my belief they done the old woman in...Yes, Lord love you. Why should she die of influenza when she come through diptheria right enough the year before? Fairly blue with it, she was. They all thought she was dead, but my father, he kept ladling gin down her throat...Then she come to so sudden she bit the bowl off the spoon...Now what call would a woman with that strength in her have to die of influenza? And what become of her new straw hat that should have come to me? Somebody pinched it, and what I say is, them as pinched it done her in...Them she lived with would have killed her for a hat pin, let alone a hat...Gin was mother's milk to her. Besides, he'd poured so much down his own throat, he knew the good of it...Drank! My word! Something chronic!
