Anyone ever had Jeans made to measure ? my GF is always moaning about jeans that dont fit her very trim figure too well, so i wondered of these things can be made to measure and what the cost might be. . . anyone with any ideas or experience ?

I often get clothes altered but for a different reason - I like getting stuff from TK Maxx. Recent bargains include a £550 Ted Baker suit that was too big - total cost to me including getting it tailored to fit me was £199.

Along those lines, is it possible a pair that are maybe too long but otherwise a good fit could be shortened, or something like that? I know it's maybe a bit unlikely but would be cheaper than the alternative.

Rather than made to measure you/she would be better off finding some jeans that are a close fit and then get them adjusted. Worth going to somewhere like http://rivetandhide.com/ as they have the chain stitching machines required to properly finishing hems.

GeorgeJ wants pics of her trim figure. I think he's a tailor, so it's legit.

I wouldn't be so crass, mind you, as it's a predictively awful thing to suggest.

Based on the fact that she definitely isn't the only "very trim" figured female in the world, I think the words you were looking for were "my odd shaped girlfriend" wink

I concur, but not only funny, accurate too in my experience.

Has she tried many on from different shops?
The only jeans that fit me perfectly are ones from Blue Inc...others are usually too long/short/tight or the crutch hangs too low which is really annoying.

Surely Diesel or Armani will fit ? Some styles are very slim.

This blokes seem to fit very well.

Maybe you should ask him where he got his?

You thought it had gone but I brought it back. As the Yoofs would say, kicking it old skool.

Was it ever actually £550, though. TKM are known for their OTT original price that never really was..
