Today I had a spark of genius.

I ordered 4 pairs of tickets to the theatre for my wife (she can chose to take me if she likes, or someone else if she prefers LOL)

2 shows at the Liverpool Playhouse and 2 at the Newly refurbished Everyman.

Punt and Dennis
Twelfth night
This might hurt a bit
and
Dead dog in a suitcase.

£137 all in

Thanks, darling. I always wanted to go to the movies, but you only ever take me to the theatre.

I've got you socks.

I tried to book the Lion King in Edinburgh (£75 per ticket £200 hotel) but they only had weekday tickets so we couldn't make it. Mistakenly told the Mother in law who insisted that her daughter was desperate to see the Body Guard in London £150 per ticket £300 hotel and £115 flights from Glasgow.....Doh!

I'll go with your missus if she's fit, but don't tell her I'm a dirty old man until we go.

One weekday ticket, 2 Saturday matinee's, (so might take her to the Philharmonic dinning Rooms for Lunch), and one Saturday Evening.

Depending on where I am working at the time, I may have Friday off, which will cost me more than the tickets.

I just remembered......

I have bought her an MX5 boot rack. It's in the shed.

Not sure on the wrapping of that one.

She was convinced the boot rack was a sledge (having felt the packaging), was pleased with that, but " we need a picnic hamper to go on it "

The tickets, however, have made MY Christmas. She is extremely pleased. Yo Ho !!!! HO !!!

A friend of a friend had tickets to Lion King on a Saturday Night but couldn't make it so I offered £50 each which was accepted and we stayed in the Glass House Hotel (recommended) so a lovely night was had by all and there was nothing to do with MX-5's at all
