So just bought myself a navy 3 piece suit initially for my brothers wedding and I am thinking of a black chukka/desert boot.Thoughts & advice please?

I would say not, mostly because suede jobbies don't tend to hold shape well enough for the cut of a sharp suit. There are exceptions to every rule though- got any pics of the shoes in question?

Can you not dress yourself? Are you an adult? Wear a onesie...

Suede boots with a suit is definitely a more casual combination, but I don’t think there is anything wrong with it—you just might feel under dressed if everyone else has polished Oxfords on.

I’d go for something with a hard sole though, rather the classic crepe sole.

A three piece is more formal (than a two) and requires a black leather shoe. Suede chukkas are too casual for a three piece, but acceptable with a two piece, single breast. Just my opinion by the way, I'm not gok wink or Georgey boy Armandi or anything. I am cool as fk though.

boots are too casual. jeans/navy chinos, ok. sharply creased suit, no.

Personally I wouldn’t wear black shoes with a blue suit.

No amount of spit, polish, and elbow grease will put a decent shine on those. My advice still stands, take it, it's free.

Absolutely terrible idea. The hot chick that you will be trying to impress with your hipness will think that you forgot to bring the shoes you actually wanted to wear, and that you have chucked those on hoping no-one will notice.

Thanks all maybe a black or deep brown leather boot/shoe then.

Appreciate the comments and your time

Really? I've always been of the belief that black shoes are a safe bet with any colour suit. What would you recommend?

I would have to agree with the others and say absolutely not... You might get away with it if you were wearing the suit as a two piece, with an open collar shirt- but with the waistcoat it's just too formal for those.
