Is it just me and my mate who have the problem with their partners taking phones/tablets to bed?

Some nights I daren't talk to her let alone engage in other more pleasurable activities. Bloody facebook!!

I just need to know for my own sanity weather this is now the done thing in relationships. If it is then there's no need for us to worry about the worlds population getting out of control anymore.

A pet hate of mine.. I get tutted at for engaging with a laptop in the lounge after dinner....iPhone gets tapped by gf relentlessly prior, and post, lights out at bedtime...

I had an ex who got a sleep-app that told her how well she slept by the movements she made during sleep...space in the bed had to be given to the ruddy phone!! "budge up babe.." ffs...and yes, it contributed to her becoming an ex.

My phone sits on the bedside table in silent, untouched until the alarm goes off in the morning..

one rule for me...one for her frown

When I go to bed, it's to switch off and fall asleep.

When Mrs Puggit goes to bed it's to...

1) Facebook
2) Bejewelled Blitz
3) Facebook
4) Minion Rush
5) Facebook

and somtimes watch an effing TV show on Lovefilm too. Many times I just get up and go to the spare room.

I can only think that Facebook or her iPhone/ipad are more entertaining than sex or conversation with you?

Time to up your game?

Actually I'm the bad one when it comes to electronic devices in bed; I usually slope of as I'm knackered but then once I've put the dog out, got a shirt out for the morning, made her indoors a cup of tea, got the dog back in, and eventually get into bed I've woken up a bit so I go on the Ipad for a while, she will read a bit and may check FB but I tend to be on mine for longer.

You probably right, but I need to spend time training to perfect my craft. Problem is the bloody iphone won't let me.

I file them in the same category as the type of fruity asshandler who goes to a nice restaurant, takes a photo of their food and then tweets about it during the meal. Phones should be banned in cinemas, pubs and restaurants.

Same here, I just lye their drop a few hints, then have a strop before turning over pissed off again. Just over a year ago I could see where it was heading so made a decision to leave my phone downstairs before I went up to bed. Did she follow suit? did she hell! I wouldn't mind but from when she gets home from work to when she go's to bed, the phone very rarely leaves her hand.

Too right!

I've been out with folk who spend the entire time telling others via facebook what a good time their having, when in reality they've spent no time actually enjoying themselves or taking part in conversations with the people actually there with them.

Social media has just made everyone far less social.

And that's me saying that. Someone known as being THE MOST ANTISOCIAL PERSON IN THE WORLD.

Just do what I did, buy a PS3 and set it up in the bedroom. You've got to fight fire with fire.

Also, buy a soundbar with a subwoofer. Nothing annoys my GF more than floor vibrating gunshots while playing BF3 biggrin

Beds are for sleeping and sex. You want to read/watch tv/play on your phone etc then go somewhere else. The only time I use my phone is to turn off the alarm, or if I'm on call for work to cover shifts. Same for any sort of date, unless its an emergency leave your damn phone alone. I've taken to just walking out if they are more interested in the phone than the conversation.

I take photos of some of my meals. I go away quite a lot for work and to strange and interesting places and take pictures for my children of the things I get to eat. I don't facebook or whatever it, just send an iMessage.
