Hi all,

I am looking for 5 cardboard boxes, to store 5 wheel rims in.
Not going to be used for posting or shipping, just to store them in, keep clean and safe.

The overall diameter of the rims is 19 inches.
The overall width of the rims is 9 inches.

I have searched Eblag for days, and can't find what I am looking for.

new or used is OK, so if any one have, or know where I can get, please shout up.

How about these? They're 3" too short to hold one, but the lid will be able to cover that much as long as you don't need to stack 'em. Rated to hold 30kg too, they're really strong.

I've clearly had a long day.

My first thoughts were: "oooh, I wander what car needs 5 wheels"

Idiot boy.

Try a supermarket, they sometimes put them near the tills for people to pack in.

Cardboard boxes have died a death in a lot os supermarkets. Main reason is cost of card and the cost gained from recycling. Most large supermarkets have moved towards plastic crates. An average supermarket delivery will be a minimum of £600 per delivery for regional distribution deliveries. They can get about £10 per pallet load of card or slightly more for plastics. So a 24/26 pallet sized trailer will give a £240/£260 offset on the cost of the delivery.

Shame they are not sensible sized wheels as I have several OZ 15" boxes folded and stacked ready for the bin.

What happened to that practice, when I was a lad (80s) Tesco always had piles of boxes near the check out.

OP can't help with the boxes, but this tyre tree looks reasonable for £9.99: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAR-ALLOY-4-WHEEL-TYRE-S...

Could also buy the carrier bags for extra protection but maybe not necessary: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-X-ALLOY-WHEEL-TYRE-STO...

Removals companies or self storage places usually have a big selection of different sizes.
