Things to do for 27 yr old lads in London for the afternoon.

Afternoon gents

I am collecting my new M135 from a dealer close to London next Friday morning, they have kindly put me up in a hotel for the Thursday evening.

I will be travelling down from leeds on the Thursday morning and plan to spend the day in central London, i have visited London many times and been to most of the standard tourist type places, my friend i am travelling with has not so i amm looking for things to do.

Obviously alot of things are family/couple related so looking for suggestions to spend an afternoon in the big smoke for a couple of lads. I had thought about going to a sky bar of some description or maybe going to look in the showrooms on Park Row? Car related would be an added bonus!!

I loved looking around HMS Belfast...Also being a thursday and close to the City you'll have your pick of decent (but busy) bars and Bodeans Tower Hill just a short walk away for lunch/dinner

Go for a pint in Aqua up the Shard - not at the top but still decent....
Take a no.15 bus around (old routemaster)
London Transport Museum was interesting last time I went as was the imperial war museum

Thursday would be a good night to hit some dive like Abacus in the Square Mile. On Thursday, it is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Exactly that - everywhere in the city is busy, just watch for the standard 'ladies of the night' in places like The Gable/Anthologist.

Another good 'sky bar' and just along from Coq is on the top of 1 New Change looking over St Pauls etc - nice up there, if pricey

Some good suggestions there, didnt realise there was a public bar in the Shard so will definetly be doing that.

Absolutely. Abacus is amazing when you are single and under 28.

Other option for a "sky bar" would be the one at the top of One New Change. Seems quite nice although when I went before Christmas, a couple were literally having sex on the sofa in the corner, until the bouncers caught them. She was old, it wasn't much to see.

27 year old lads, that's quite a squad of youngsters. I'd stick them in a creche, or take them to a jungle Jim's type place if they are allowed at that age.

then go for something to eat, id wander into spitalfields market and get some grub,

then pub crawl it down to the folly, via steam and rye,

after closing hit abacus.

a tried and tested thursday night, 99% chance of picking up.

if you dont, hit Ye Old Axe, much better than giffon, or rainbow.

take away on brick lane circa 4am.
