Oldest Pistonhead

Just an observation from the Silverstone SS but the average age group for these meets seems to be 30-40yrs. We on the South Coast have a PH member in his mid 60's and is still as enthusiastic as a yoof in Ripspeed. I wont name & shame him on here but just who is the elder statesman of PH?

I'd regard mid 60s as a middle aged bloke. Old is quite a bit more than that in my book.

McNab is.

No idea but he raced at Brooklands pre-war and I last saw him at the wheel of his race car in 2005-ish - that made him an honorary petrol/piston head in my book.

Is Breadvan 72 as his moniker would suggest? He does tend to give out sage advice that comes in the relaxed style of a Mr Miyagi (albeit with a law degree and a wig).
Failing that I think the joke about a remapped 335d is going to be the oldest 'thing' on PH which I would go so far as to say is as old as the hills and older than any of the members...
