Where to get a 50ml plastic syringe and rubber tubing?

Anyone managed to buy a 50ml or so plastic syringe and rubber tubing from a non internet shop like halfords or BnQ. I'm really struggling and need them to change my gearbox oil easily and without mess.

Any suggestions or alternatives?

I have a syringe and tube in my car from when I changed power steering fluid. Your welcome to it if Yeovil somerset is within range. I nicked mine from work so can't help on where to buy one.

Bike shop? You get something similar for working on hydraulic bike brakes.

Go to Halfords and get some windscreen washer tubing and your local vets may have a big enough syringe. Machine Mart sell oil suction syringes too.

I've previously found them in large pharmacies or medical supply shops.

There are a few medical shops on Wigmore Street in London, where you can buy them off the shelf.

50ml it'll take a while. I used an easy bleed to lift the oil into my diff, whilst having a

I've done all my gearboxes, autoboxes, diffs etc with a Laser 4385 multi purpose mini pump, good tool.

everything you need for removing sump oil thru the dip stick tube.

If so, I'd expect any decent car parts shop would stock something similar and they're generally open on a Sunday.

Thanks all, I went to halfords, but it was an order online only item so I ordered a big valved 500ml pump with tubing off eBay for £9.

I think he's meaning exactly what you're suggesting - a physical shop which he can visit today rather than an internet shop which would mean waiting until next week for delivery.

I always use a bit of garden hose pipe. You can feed it up to a more accessible place to fill. Warm the oil in its bottle beforehand to make it flow nicely.

I got one in Boots years ago. Wanted one to measure the chamber capacity of a Mini head I was porting. Had to ask for it at the pharmacy counter, and got a few funny looks.
