Been sat clock watching since 7am wanting to start noisy jobs in the garden...no one else is working yet and it's peacefully quiet. But Mrs Phil Dicky and me are heading out this afternoon so needs my jobs finishing asap. So what is an acceptable time to start.

9am on a sunday unless the rest of the neighbours are up and about.

I live in a quiet cul-de-sac and I'm up early, but i wouldn't dream of doing anything until then.

Pisses me right of if I've been out for a heavy night and someone starts doing noisy stuff before then.

My rules... 07.30 in the week, 8 on a saturday and 9 on a sunday.

We have just been woken up at 8 am this morning with machinery from next door and it was just gone 7 am yesterday.

What sort of noisy job is it? Shouting at the wife?

Well you wouldn't like it if the farmer ploughed a field next door before 9, so wait to plough the wife wink

I went for 10,which is also the current leader.

In the village I stay on holiday in Italy, there's a very noisy tractor which passes every morning at 7

without fail and then the womenfolk shout at each other VERY LOUDLY.

No idea what they're discussing.

No doubt berating said tractor driver for his noisiness. Loudly, and in Italian.

That's because when you asked everyone who would vote for 10am was still asleep (apart from the few woken by noisy neighbours, wink)
