'Boss, want to do a viewing with this tart?"

http://www.kingstonguardian.co.uk/news/11350243._B...want_to_do_a_viewing_with_this_tart___estate_agents_mistakenly_send_smutty_email_to_customer/?ref=var_0

article said:
A woman trying to arrange a viewing with a Surbiton estate agent received a smutty email calling her a “tart” and suggesting she might “bend over”.

Zoe Butler, 25, had asked the agent about renting in Surbiton with boyfriend Orrin Duhaney, 21.

KT Residential estate agent Daniel Grove replied offering viewing times at 6pm.

But beneath his message was another one apparently sent from director Daniel Dow’s email address.

The email said: “Boss, want to do a l8 [late] viewing with this tart? She may bend over for you!”

Ms Butler replied: “Do you generally talk about your potential tenants like this?”

Mr Grove said: “Not at all, it was an extremely immature and inappropriate comment made by my colleague on our internal system.

“I sincerely apologise for the comment and assure you that it was made as a baseless and inappropriate attempt at humour regarding my personal life.

“I assure you that the comment does not in any reflect [sic] our business ethic or was intended as any personal reference to yourself.

“I sincerely apologise for any distress this may have cause.”

Contacted on Tuesday night, Mr Dow denied he was the author of the smutty comments.

He said: “As much as I would like to get to the bottom of it, I will have to deny I wrote the email.

“I guess I could have been hacked. It could be someone trying to frame me. There are people out there who might want to tarnish my name.

“I think the best thing to do is apologise if anything has come out that has upset someone.”

Ms Butler, who works for social services and lives in Guildford, said: “When I first read it I was just shocked. I kept thinking ‘Am I reading this right?’ “I’m not very good at contacting people and I plucked up the courage to do it.

“It made me feel very small and upset. It’s so unprofessional of them. How often do they say that about potential tenants?

“They haven’t really apologised – they’ve tried to make out they weren’t talking about me.”

She felt belittled? Really?

It is a bit vulgar, but a tiny joke. I've seen the photo of her - she can't believe they were really interested.

I'm going to get flamed, but I can't help feel that she's milking it slighty... She does look a little tarty. Maybe there's been some flirting before and she didn't want her boyfriend to get wind of it?

I don't think she has been flirting. I would say that she saw that accidental message and then decided it was newsworthy. It isn't.

I suppose on a national level it isn't, but this is a local paper. Probably helpful to people thinking of buying/selling their houses, and needing to narrow down the list of estate agents they could potentially use...

I think that this estate agent probably bummed a client or maybe just a one night stand and now they have a joke in the office that he bums all the women he meets.

I doubt it has anything to do with this woman and it probably doesn't have any bearing on their work. They're taking the piss out of the estate agent, not the customer.

I didn't even really think about the fact they might be taking the piss out of her personally, I was more just amazed by how stupid/unprofessional it was.

Yea, he's probably on hundreds of watch lists, paparazzi snapping him 24/7 and all the haters wanting to take him down.

I think the word 'hacked' is getting more and more bastardised as time goes on.

Mrs had this last week at work, forwarded an email to a client not realising that her dipst assistant had included her email on that was slagging the client off, her email was written as if she was posting on Facebook.

Mrs had only been in her job two weeks.

The forward button should be banned to external people. Causes far too much pain. A new email is far safer.

Mrs kicked off stating the company handbook and how unprofessional the assistant was being, unsure if it was linked but they've recently moved the assistant on.

Yeah, probably not actually. His reaction about someone wanting to hack him and ruin his reputation was a bit far fetched... what reputation? He's an estate agent!
