Here it is is as few words as possible.

Bid on item from ebay, won said item. Postage was double the amount i got the item for as it is quite bulky.

Noticed the seller was a few miles from me so ask if i could collect and pay for it then (saving on fees and packaging etc)

They refused, so i pay for the item and postage. Then this morning some bloke turns up with a box and no postmark. He said someone ask him to drop this off as they were passing.

So basically i paid double the items worth for postage and they then dropped it off themselves, therefore pocketing the postage cost.

Not the crime of the century but paying over £20 postage for nothing.

You knew the P&P charge before you bid.

Quit bhing.

Seller has done nothing wrong. Ask BEFORE you bid next time.

^ Think they have stamped that out.

Non delivery report to ebay, only problem is you are lying and the chancer knows you and where you live.

I always ask questions before bidding, not after

Its shocking that he could actually do this(ebay gone mental), I suspect the seller wouldnt be too happy and would most probably vandalise your car though.

As for my input to the conundrum...

Did it arrive within the timescale given? If so, what's the issue?

I have a customer who orders via my ecommerce website, and pays for delivery. They're only 1/4 mile down the road, and it's on my way to the pub after work, so I usually drop it in.

As above. If you knew what the postage was, how it was delivered and who by is pretty much irrelevant (unless they offer something such as 24 hour delivery and it is sent slower or via economy delivery).

So let me get this right......

OP buys an item with a £20 delivery cost (which he agreed to by purchasing the item)

The item is then delivered in a timely manner....

OP then complains.......?????

Worlds gone bloody mad.....there are children dying in this world yet this is a problem for you?

Ask before bidding next time.

Learn n move on.

eBay (the bds) now charge final value fees on postage charges as well..............

and then ask for the buyer's feedback on how reasonable your P&P charges are..........

£20 seems reasonable for that, If the seller charges £10 an hr for his time driving a few miles and fuel on top smile
