No i don't mean estimated time of arrival.

As I'm a pedant i've noticed an increasing number of people adding ETA to their posts then carrying on with their post without actually editing it.

It's a simple concept that if you have more to add, just type it, you don't need "ETA" you're not editing it!

It's just a little thing but it really, really annoys me for some reason.

And while I'm being picky, why do people start a sentence with "so"? Just start the bloody sentence.

e.g. "So I was driving my car the other day" can be shortened to "I was driving my car the other day" If you must insist on starting with "So" at least put a comma after it to make it read correctly.

I'm going now wink

People generally seem to use ETA when it changes the meaning or context of the post after other people have been commenting on the original. No bad thing IMO as long as it's done sensibly.

So the other day I was amending a post..... wink

Ironic that because I put it in lounge first and thought nah, no point as the Mods will put it in general gassing as they've done in the past.

Strange place is PH, but i love it!
