Scam email from BHLive Tickets
Discussion
Email in my Spam folder today, reportedly from BHLive Ticketing, which is a real Bournemouth ticketing agency. They have a comment on their website detailing the spam emails and that they are investigating.
What surprised me was the quality of the email and how easy is would be to get taken in by it and open the attachment sent with it.
The email showed a full invoice detailing a booking for some shows and has all the logos and a very professional format. Someone spent a bit of time on it by the look of it.
Obviously what is missing is my full name, address, valid CC details etc. So anything they could not get from my email address.
With Christmas on the horizon, I can see a lot more of this type of email being sent out.

A few of us in the office got them this morning, hovering over all the links brought up proper urls. Couldn't see where the scam was so assumed someone had put the wrong email address in until I got the second email with a different booking ref then another guy in the office got one. Googled the company name and was getting 500 errors on some links and the phone number was queued out. Didn't notice an attachment? Is it the PDF viewer link?
The scammers are upping their games and getting more sophisticated.

I got this today too, I got excited that we were going to see the Peter Pan panto! Then I was disappointed when I worked out it was a spam email.
We keep getting these protein shake emails too but it turned out the MDs son had used the work email account to order some of that powder sh*te.

I got it too, presumed it was a scam but I have a Visa ending **** **** **** 7006 which made me have to check it out.
Also no attachment so couldn't work out what the scam was.
Ditto, went to spam on my phone, but I googled them to find a number to call them to say they had the wrong email address & saw the message Also no attachment so couldn't work out what the scam was.
