The irony is strong...

I received the usual spam e-mail earlier from someone who didn't know how to bcc and therefore broadcast about 100 other e-mail addresses to everyone on the mailing list. I dealt with it in the normal manner - delete.
Not so one aggrieved recipient - who responded in the following terms: "Dear XXX,
please remove us from your email spam list and it might be an idea not to broadcast every email you send your spam to because you are breaching data protection laws by distributing everyone's email addresses without their permission
Thanks".
Unfortunately they used the "reply all" button...

I get these, Not so much irony just annoying.
I work for a very large international company.
Every now and then I open my email to hundreds of mails most saying the same.
"Please remove me from the emailing list"
With the occasional
"Everybody stop replying"
Then usualy the top bloke telling everybody to stop
Followed by another hundred or so who ignore him.
When Somebody in quala lumpa has decided to tell everybody in the world that the office is closing one hour early.

I accidentally put delivery and read receipts on an email I sent to most of the company once.
Four years later I was still receiving "your message was read." and "your message was deleted without being read." confirmations.
Although someone in the office accidentally sent details of what she'd be wearing to the Christmas party to everybody as she replied to an email from the admin girl (accidentally hitting reply to all). It wasn't particularly outrageous, but the line describing how it was her, er, time of the month and how to hide a tampon in a dress was visibly mortifying for the poor girl.
