Ebay Question

Just wondering, if I bought a car that was advertised as an auction on Ebay but I bought it outside of Ebay before the auction ended but the owner never withdrew the listing and someone put in a winning bid, is there anything that can come back on me in that situation ? Or is it between the previous owner and the winning bidder to sort out ? I'm probably being paranoid but I wouldn't want the winning bidder come chasing me claiming ownership of the car or something : )

That's the seller's (quite daft) fault and entirely their problem, don't worry about it at all.

Assuming you paid in full and already have the car, that is!

Just had the same thing happen to me but I'm the one that "won" the auction. Item has already been sold. Annoying but it's Ebay, assume everyone is a muppet. Thankfully it was cash on collection so hadn't sent any money.
