Ofcourse you have!

Stag do on the weekend ended up at a gentlemans establishment as the final order of the evening. Now i've seen a few programs on these places on the BBC and the like, young girls paying for uni etc, professional establishments that keep everyone safe, punters and girls all happy blah blah

Now I didn't get a private dance, we mainly left it to the stag to indulge but I had a few observations..

1. The place was very nice and clean.
2. The staff giving drinks etc out were presentable and nice
3. The rules were made clear by a doorman, who was very polite and professional.

All good upto this point

Then the girls, some smaller some bigger and therefore something for everyone. But their attitude was somewhat disappointing.

We agreed with one £20 for a dance (down from £30), stag was in the toilet so whilst she waited she went over to the other side of the table asking...

'Who's gonna top this £20 up for the stag?....''' Anyway one of the lads asked what she'd offer - she said a tenner more would get the stag a 2 song dance, not one song. He gives a tenner then she says..

'Sorry luv I can't do 2 songs, need £40 for that - but i'll make it amazing for him..'

So she basically diddled us £10.

Girl number 2, same story - agreed and got £20 from us and then went to other side saying she 'needs another tenner to do the dance cos it's £30 minimum'. One of the lads pulled out £20 and asked if she had change, 'Ofcourse luv..', took the £20 and then looked around like someone had called her and went off. She came back after a minute and took the stag for a dance, but no tenner.

So she diddled us too.

I don't frequent these places and it's not much money so whatever but I really got the feeling that the girls had no respect for their customers whatsoever. Which was strange, as every other member of staff there was actually pretty decent.

Anyway its a cool story I know, apologies to the PH'ers who find this boring/geeky or whatever.

I have no idea but what a fantastic choice of word 'diddle' was, in the circumstances.

You need to have a look at the post from a PHer who lost track of his credit card in one of these places - not pretty.

If you wanted some proper dirt you should have gone to the 'dam.

That's nothing, a mate wondered off when we were in Dublin. He had drank more than he could handle and found himself in a strip club.

All he remembers is buying a drink for himself and two strippers. They then asked him to leave as he was too drunk.

Next day, checks his pocket, finds a receipt for €330, kept looking and found one timed 6 minutes later for €660 hehe

Our hotel in Riga had a "strip club" in the basement.

That was an expensive weekend.

I imagine 'room service' covered all sorts of possibilities!

Been to quite a lot of Gentlemens clubs, all over the world.

Some of the more memorable instances include drinking in the real 'Bada Bing' strip club from The Sopranos whilst in New Jersey, and getting plastered with Tim Shaw from the TV show Car SOS in Spearmint Rhino in Edgbaston.

Been to Vegas a few times and contrary to the 'anything goes' mantra, you do not touch the girls or be suggestive with them in any way. But step outside the door and you can take your pick from an army of street vendors giving you cards or brochures for 'ladies of the night' should that be your thing.

I find most Spearmint Rhinos to be really nice clean, well appointed places.

Simply the worst ones I have ever been to are the European ones such as the sort that you find in dreadful 'lads on tour' places such as Magaluf and Gran Canaria. They are a combination of Strip Club and we House with a rather threatening atmosphere.

Good strip clubs are fun, bad strip clubs are horrific and sometimes scary.

Sounds like the price was £30.
Are the prices not fixed?

First time I went it was a fiver to get in and a tenner for a dance and more for backroom private dances.

Second time I went I paid a tenner to get in a sat at the bar and bought a £5 bottle of Stella.

Third time I refused to go in and went home.

All years ago.

My brother told me today's prices the other day and my jaw hit the flaw. Its cheaper to go to a brothel these days.

Its fun to to do it the once but after that is just pointless.

Never understood strip clubs. Seems a bit like going to a restaurant, having a load of tasty food paraded in front of you that you can look at and smell but not eat, paying a fortune for the 'pleasure' and then sent away still hungry. confused

I could actually understand someone going to a brothel or a massage parlour better than going to a strip club.

Also, can someone explain a 'private dance' to me please? Seems you can sit at a table and watch a girl strip but not be able to do anything or pay a load extra for her to strip just for you - and still not be able to do anything. What's the advantage?

Quite normal for couples to go to Gentlemens Clubs in the USA for drinks/dinner before moving on elsewhere.
