On the basis of the OP's premise, all threads should be in this sub-forum, because inevitably we eat and drink alongside just about everything we do.
But if I had a legal question I have a choice of forums, one of which is very clearly for legal questions. May get confused if my question was about a legal question about a restaurant!
OP: your dress suggestion sounds like that of a waiter in one of those w
ky hipster restaurants.
Thought about that and you have a point. I probably wear a dinner suit around 10 times a year and for sure at more formal events it's a white shirt every time but we have one on Saturday that anything appears to be okay. I am not that sure how I ended up with a black dress shirt in the wardrobe in the first place can't remember wearing it but to be honest with a few bottles of red down my neck I don't remember much anywayBut if I had a legal question I have a choice of forums, one of which is very clearly for legal questions.
