In homage to the very enjoyable "Just beautiful objects" thread that quickly spirraled into mega-money land.

A thread for objects that are still made and you consider (almost) perfect it terms of fuction and form. They should be affordable to all (no boats/cars etc!).

Appreciate that affordable is subject to debate.

I could not find a thread similar, so thought I'd start this one.

Just little objects that you might use on a day-to-day basis that are a joy to use, make the day a bit brighter and your time on this planet generally a nicer experience. Things you don't have to win the lottery to afford.

Here are few to start off

Casio F-91W (£7)

HP 50g Calculator (worth it for RPN alone) (£90)

Apart from almost cutting a finger off when I was young, this is just about perfect.

In the long run, they usually work out more expensive than the boats / cars etc we're not supposed to include. wink

It's estimated there are around 200 million guns based on the AK 47 design.

It's not quite the same as the first one in 1957 but it's not bad.
