OK, first world problem.

I've been gifted a $100 gift voucher by a kind boss. This has to be loaded onto Amazon.com (i.e. USA).

I've bought before from the US and you always face shipping costs and then often a customs charge which on this value would make it much less worthwhile. You can't buy gift vouchers with the gift voucher. There isn't much digital download music that I want at the moment.

Ideas? Any creative ways of transferring or getting appropriate credit to spend on other stores - loopholes I may have missed?

The one thing I do want (Office 365 or Office 2016 for Mac) is not available as a digital download.

What about digital download of things other than music - films, TV shows, Kindle books etc?

Not sure if possible, but I'd be tempted to change my Kindle settings to the US store for a bit and fill it with books...

Kindle is a good idea, thanks - switching it to the US should work.

Can you use it to buy a sterling giftcard?

Sadly not, you can't buy any gift vouchers with a gift voucher.
